New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis (pictured) won’t admit he feels snubbed by not being selected to the All-Star game. His play on the court as of late speaks much louder than words.

In the last 4 games Anthony Davis has suited up for, the New Orleans Pelicans (20-26) have won. Saturday night was no different, as the Pelicans beat up the Bulls 88-79.

Davis set a new franchise record as he has now blocked 4 or more shots in 6 straight games. In a matchup with All-Star forward Joakim Noah, Davis owned the night, blocking 6 shots, and scoring 24 points on 10-14 shooting. He also added 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists.

“I’m not trying to prove anything,” said Davis. “Everybody knows what I can do and what I’m capable of. Stuff happens and I can’t control that.”

New Orleans coach Monty Williams was more vocal about his young star being absent from the All-Star reserves.

“You want to be recognized as one of the best,” Williams explained. “When you play as well as he has, he can say what he wants. He wants it. We all know he deserves it.”

Pelicans guard Eric Gordon scored the first 7 points of the contest, but only finished with 9 on the night. Tyreke Evans (pictured) came off the pine to reach double figures at 11.

New Orleans will play host to the savvy San Antonio Spurs (34-13) Monday night. Tip-off is set for 7:00.
