New Orleans Pelicans teammates Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday were both named to 2017-18 NBA All-Defensive 1st team today.

It's the first time in franchise history two New Orleans teammates earned All-Defensive honors in the same season.

For Holiday, it's the first All-Defensive Team selection of his 9 year career.

For Davis, it's the first time he's made 1st team, but previously, he was named to the 2nd Team in 2015 and 2017.

Holiday was among only 10 players this season to procure 50+ blocks, 100+ steals and 300+ rebounds. At 6'4, 205 pounds, he drew the defensive assignment of the opposing team's best perimeter player throughout the season.

Davis finished the 2017-2018 campaign first in the league in blocks (2.6 per game), fifth in rebounds (11.1) and fifteenth in steals (1.5). He's currently a finalist for the KIA NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award.
