Payton’s Stock Continues to Rise; Invited to NBA Draft “Green Room”

The NBA Draft is less than a week away, and former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns point guard Elfrid Payton continues to impress teams that have had the 6'4" point guard in for workouts.

Players invited to attend the draft in the "green room" are players expected to be taken high in the draft.

When he declared for the draft, Payton was thought to be a borderline first round pick. Now, some mock drafts have him going as high as #8, and he's considered to be a consensus first round pick.

The draft will be held next Thursday, June 26th at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, NY
