Paul’s Trade Status A Major Hornets Distraction
Many in the sports world would agree that the hardest job in sports right now belongs to New Orleans Hornets GM Dell Demps. Perhaps Hornets head coach Monty Williams would be second on that list. Entering Day 5 of training camp, the Hornets have 5 players under contract. One of them is Chris Paul, whose trade uncertainty has become a major distraction for the team.
Monty Williams knows this better than anybody. Despite a solid season in year one, the distraction of Paul’s trade status coupled with the NBA’s unforgivable act, has Williams in a nearly impossible situation.
