Panthers Stun Middle Tennessee 61-57

Last year, Middle Tennessee’s failure to make crucial free throws got them knocked out of the Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Tournament in the quarterfinals.
Despite having a much better free throw shooting team this year, it was again a failure to convert at the charity stripe that helped lead to their 61-57 loss to #4 seed FIU, ending the nation’s longest winning streak at 17 games.
Middle Tennessee is 28-5 and will hope for an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament. They are guaranteed a spot in the NIT if they are not selected to the field of 68.
