Pete Carmichael May Be A Candidate For Head Coaching Jobs

Anytime an NFL team has success, people in their organization will be in demand.

That's certainly the case with the New Orleans Saints, who won the Super Bowl in 2009, made the playoffs last year, and are currently in first-place in the NFC South.

Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who has already been a head ocach in the league, received some attention about head coaching opening last year, and now offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael has reportedly been generating some talk.

Again. this should come as no surprise to anyone. Carmichael is a solid coach, who's been part of a winning franchise.

It would be a surprise if his name wasn't bandied about.

Drew Brees On Pace To Have Career Season

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is having one of the best seasons in his 11-year NFL career.

Through ten games this year, Brees has completed 71% of his passes, for 3,326 yards, and 23 touchdowns.

If Brees continues at his current pace, he will surpass his career-bests in all three categories.

The 3,326 yards that Brees has thrown for this year not only lead the NFL, but are the most in NFL history, through ten games.

A record that Brees currently has, and keeps adding to, is his string of 30 consecutive game with at least 20 completed passes.
