Team on the Rise: Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt (16-5, 5-1 SEC) has won 10 of 11 games, with the only blemish being a one-point overtime loss to then-No. 18 Mississippi St. The Commodore
Bowl season is hitting its high point with the biggest games of the year coming up in the next week. While much of the focus is understandably on the BCS games and the national championship, there are a lot of other good games coming up for your viewing pleasure in the next few days. We’ll have previews of the BCS games coming up shortly. But in the meantime, here is what to watch for in all the remaining non-BCS bowl games.

December 3, 2011 Well, the MAC Championship, as well as the Pac-12 Championship are in the bag, but four conferences will decide their league champions today, as the 2011 college football season enters its 14th week.
The top-ranked LSU Tigers take on the 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs for the SEC title.
In the ACC championship, #20 Clemson squares off with #5 Virginia Tech.
#9 Michigan St. faces #10 Wisconsin for the Big Ten tile.
The Conference-USA crown will also be on the line today, as #6 Houston tries to stay unbeaten against #24 Southern Miss.

As we enter the final week of college football’s regular season, we already have a good idea of what the national championship game will look like. Barring a colossal upset in the SEC title game and a whole lot of poll voters changing their minds and moving Oklahoma State up, LSU and Alabama will play a rematch of their earlier overtime game in the BCS National Championship. Mike Leach, the former head coach at Texas Tech, has agreed to a five year contract to try and revive the dormant football program at Washington State.
Leach will be paid around two million dollars per year, plus incentives.

November 26, 2011 Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team will close out their 2011 regular season schedule on Saturday, when they travel to Tucson, Arizona, to take on the Arizona Wildcats, in non-conference action.
This won't be the last game that Louisiana plays this year however.
On Monday, UL received its first bowl invitation in 41 years, as the Cajuns will represent the Sun Belt Conference in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, December 17.
The Cajuns are 8-3 on the year, while Arizona, out of the Pac-12 Conference, is 3-8.
This is the first-ever meeting between the two school.
Kick-off time is set for 3 o'clock.
