The recently completed NBA Finals featured a first in the four major American team sports: two teams (the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder) whose names were mass nouns, rather than plurals. It’s not surprising, since each team’s name is 20 years old or less.
Obviously, every athlete wants to win a championship ring. It’s the ultimate goal in every professional sport. It took LeBron James almost a decade to finally win his first championship. But championships don’t come easy.
This season, many of the NBA stars have worn some very questionable attire during post-game press conferences. Especially during the playoffs.
