March 16, 2012 The New Orleans Hornets and the state of Louisiana have reached a new lease agreement that will keep the team in New Orleans through 2024. Governor Bobby Jindal said the new deal guarantees a future NBA All-Star game in New Orleans. He also noted the new lease has no opt out options, attendance benchmarks, or financial inducements from the state.

With the all-star break now completed, the NBA will begin the remainder of its 2011-12 season on Tuesday night. Philadelphia, Chicago and Miami lead their respective divisions in the Eastern Conference, while San Antonio, Oklahoma City and the Los Angeles Clippers top the divisions of the Western Conference.

While we can argue about whether or not the right teams were playing, it was hard to argue with the excitement of the BCS bowl games so far. Three of the four were decided either in the last seconds of regulation (Rose Bowl) or in overtime (Fiesta and Sugar bowls), while the fourth (Orange Bowl) shattered virtually every bowl game record on the books for offensive statistics.
But the non-BCS games also gave us a lot of close games and great individual performances, as well. Here are the highlights from the final week of bowl season.
