Chicago watched a 12 point lead disappear in the final 3 minutes, as LeBron James and the Heat closed the game on an 18-3 run. Miami will face the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
After a five year absence, the Dallas Mavericks are going back to the NBA Finals. For the second time in franchise history, the Mavs are Western Conference champs after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 by the score of 100-96. They now await the winner of the Miami vs. Chicago series.
The Mavericks made a late comeback in Game 4, defeating the Thunder 112-105 in overtime on Monday Night. Kevin Durant scored 24 points for Oklahoma City, as the Thunder defeated the Mavericks in Dallas last night 106-100. The bigger story for OKC was their superb bench play, led by James Harden. He scored 23, including 10 in the final period, helping his team knot up the Western Conference Finals at one game apiece.
