Pete Carmichael May Be A Candidate For Head Coaching Jobs
Anytime an NFL team has success, people in their organization will be in demand.
That's certainly the case with the New Orleans Saints, who won the Super Bowl in 2009, made the playoffs last year, and are currently in first-place in the NFC South.
Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who has already been a head ocach in the league, received some attention about head coaching opening last year, and now offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael has reportedly been generating some talk.
Again. this should come as no surprise to anyone. Carmichael is a solid coach, who's been part of a winning franchise.
It would be a surprise if his name wasn't bandied about.
Saints Hoping To Improve Red Zone Defense

Red-zone defense, however, is not one of those strengths.
Through the first nine weeks of the 2011 NFL season, the Saints rank dead last in red-zone defense, with opponents scoring a touchdown over 70% of the time.
That's quite a difference from the Saints' Super Bowl Championship team of 2009, when they led the league in red-zone defense.
How are they working to improve in that area?
