Syracuse, Duke Lose; Ratliffe on Record-Breaking Pace – This Week in College Basketball

Notre Dame beat top-ranked Syracuse, 67-58, on Saturday to give the Orange their first loss of the season. Third-ranked Baylor also suffered its first two defeats in the past week, dropping games to number five Missouri and No. 7 Kansas. UConn Midnight Madness Dunk Contest

College basketball programs hold "Midnight Madness" as a way to celebrate their first practice of the 2011-2012 college basketball season.

Sure, they practice, but the sessions normally have a lot more entertainment, to get the fans involved.

At UConn, the Huskies had a slam dunk competition, which looked to be worth the price of admission (if there was one), by itself.
