Two days after losing Game 2 at home, the Dallas Mavericks win Game 3 on the road, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 93-87. Dallas led by as many as 23 points. Oklahoma City made a charge late, but the gap proved to be too wide.

A winning recipe of stable defense anchored by Tyson Chandler, coupled with proficient offense led by Dirk Nowitzki, resulted in a 93-81 victory for the road team. The Mavs return home for Game 3 and 4 with a dominant 2-0 series lead over the Lakers.
