We’re down to the home stretch of the regular season, with most teams having just two games remaining. There aren't many big games this week, with only two top 25 matchups and five ranked SEC schools dropping down to play FCS teams. But there is still some action this week that could shake up conference-title races. #1 Oregon faces a ranked team and #2 Kansas State hits the road against one of the nation’s top offenses. College Football 2012 – Week Nine Recap

This week’s rankings will look very different when the new AP Poll comes out following a Saturday full of upsets. Four Top Ten teams fell this week and five ranked teams suffered their first losses of the season. Meanwhile, Collin Klein and Manti T’eo boosted their Heisman chances while Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State and Notre Dame continued to make their case for a shot in the national title game.

Cajuns Defeat Kent State

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns earned their first victory of the Mark Hudspeth era Saturday night, defeating the Golden Flashes of Kent State on a rainy night in Ohio. The final score of 20-12 was hard fought by UL, as Derrick Dean, Tyrell Gaddies, Bill Bentley, Chris Tucker, Lionel Stokes, and the rest of the Ragin' Cajun defense played an incredible ballgame.
