Smith's stat line of 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals doesn't resemble just how good Jason played. His frontcourt mate Chris Kaman was sensational as well (21 pts, 10 rebs), as the Hornets cruised to a 99-90 victory over Minnesota.

Lakers Squeak By Hornets 88-85
For the second straight game, the New Orleans Hornets had only 8 healthy players in uniform. It was almost enough Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, but the Lakers managed to sqeak by the scrappy Hornets 88-85. Kobe Bryant shot a paltry 3-21 from the field, missing his first 15 shots. Jason Smith and Jarrett Jack both had double-doubles in defeat.
