June 20, 2011 St. Louis Cardinals' perennial All-Star Albert Pujols will miss 4-6 weeks after suffering a non-displaced fracture of his left forearm.
The announcement was made after X-Rays and a CT scan were performed earlier Monday.

June 6, 2011 The Pittsburgh Pirates selected UCLA right-handed pitcher Gerrit Cole, with the first selection of Major League Baseball's First-Yeal player Draft, on Monday night.
Jenifer Langosch, of mlb.com, reports that LSU outfielder Mikie Mahtook was picked by the Tampa Bay Rays, with the 31st pick of the draft.
