The New Orleans Hornets forced overtime on the road in Indiana Mardi Gras night, but they couldn't mambo to a victory. The Pacers outscored the fleur-de-bees 17-8 in the extra period, propelling them to a 117-108 win.

Trevor Ariza hit a shot near the end of regulation to force overtime. The Hornet small forward finished with a team-high 21 points to go along with his 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Jarrett Jack had a double-double off the pine, scoring 19 while dishing out 10 assists.

Former Hornet All-Star David West (pictured left) played New Orleans for the first time since leaving for Indiana in free agency. The Pacers power forward finished with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Coincidentally, that's what he averaged during his 9 seasons with the Hornets.

New Orleans will wrap up a 9 day road trip tonight in Cleveland. It will mark their 5th game of the trip, and 3rd game in as many nights. The Hornets will then get a week off during the NBA All-Star break.
