Orgeron Named SBC Hitter Of The Week

Junior outfielder Christi Orgeron, of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team, was named the Sun Belt Conference Hitter of the Week, on Monday.

Orgeron helped pace the Cajuns to a 4-1 record in the Citrus Classic, last weekend, going 8-for-16 at the plate, with three homers, three runs scored, and five rbi's.

The highlight of Orgeron's weekend was a game-winning home run against top-ranked Alabama, on Friday, to help UL to a 1-0 win.

For the year, Orgeron is batting a .457, with seven homers, and 38 rbi's.

Orgeron has hit safely in all 20 of UL's games, and has driven home a run in 17 of the 20 contests.
