Louisiana outfielder Christi Orgeron has already been named the Sun Belt preseason player of the year and has twice been named SBC Player of the Week.

Now she can add a national honor.

The fifth-year senior has been named National Player of the Week by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) for her performance in the Mardi Gras Classic in Lafayette this past weekend.

Orgeron was quick to praise everyone but herself upon winning the award.
