Oregon State scored four times in the eighth and four times in the ninth to defeat North Carolina 11-6 to stay alive in the College World Series.

Trailing 6-3 in the eighth inning, Adley Rustchman hit a three run double to tie the game at 6-6.  Jack Anderson walked with the bases loaded for what proved to be the winning run.

But Oregon State wasn't finished.

Trevor Larnach had an RBI single in the ninth and Tyler Malone followed with a two run homer to put the game out of reach for Oregon State (51-11-1).

It was the first time in 51 games that North Carolina lost when scoring six or more runs.

Cadyn Grenier and Rutschman each homered in the first inning to give Oregon State a 2-0 lead and the Beavers made it 3-0 on a Larnach RBI double in the third.  But Caroina tied the game against starter Luke Heimlich in the third, highlighted by Brandon Riley's two run double.  North Carolina took the lead on an RBI single by Ike Freeman and increased their  lead in the sixth on a two run homer down the left by Kyle Datres before the Beavers made their comeback.

Jake Mulholland (2-2) pitched three scoreless innings to get the win.  Brett Daniels (6-1) took the loss.

Oregon State will take on Mississippi State on Friday.
