Oklahoma State notched its second consecutive shutout and advanced to the bracket final with a 1-0 win over Arizona Monday night at T. D. Ameritrade Park in Omaha, NE.

OSU's Tyler Buffett outdueled Arizona's Bobby Dalbec, allowing three hits, walking two and striking out six in eight strong innings in a 100 pitch effort.  Trey Cobb got the final three outs for his sixth save.

The Cowboys got their run in the fourth inning when Donnie Walton led off with a double to left and scored on Garrett Burge's single to right.

That spoiled a stellar effort by Dalbec, who allowed just five hits over eight innings.  He walked one and struck out a career high 12.

It's the first time in CWS history a team has recorded back to back 1-0 wins.

Earlier, UC Santa Barbara got a stellar start from freshman Noah Davis, holding Miami to just one run on two hits over six innings, as the Gauchos got their first-ever win at the College World Series, beating #3 seed Miami 6-3, eliminating the Hurricanes from the CWS.

The Gauchos broke open a 1-1 game by scoring four times in the bottom of the sixth.  Pinch Hitter Ryan Cumberland drove in a pair of runs and UCSB executed a pair of squeeze bunts to get two more runs home.

The Gauchos eliminated the two best teams in the ACC, Louisville and Miami, from postseason play.

UCSB will meet Arizona in an elimination game on Wednesday.
