In anticipation of its October 28th appearance before the NCAA Committee on Infractions, the University of North Carolina has imposed penalties upon its football program.

The school will vacate all wins from the 2008 and 2009 football seasons.  The team will also suffer a reduction in three scholarships per season for the next three years and placed itself on two years' probation.

In addition, the school has fined itself $50,000.

The Tar Heels went 8-5 in both of their football seasons in question.
