Nine Acadiana Area Teams Appear In Final Regular Season LSWA Football Polls

The latest LSWA high school football polls were released on Tuesday, and once again this week, nine teams from the Acadiana area appear in the top ten in the respective polls, as we head into the final regular season week of the 2013 season.

In class 5A, undefeated Acadiana holds firm number three this week, while New Iberia is up one spot, from number nine last week, to number eight this week.

St. Thomas More stays at number three this week in the 4A poll, with Teurlings Catholic up one spot, from tenth to ninth.

Notre Dame, at number three, highlights the 3A poll, with Jennings, Kaplan, and Church Point also receiving votes.

In the class 2A poll, Catholic-New Iberia is number seven, while Loreauville falls from the top spot to number eight.

Finally, in the class A poll, Vermilion Catholic is second this week, with Basile coming in at number three, while St. Edmund is among others also receiving votes.
