Fresh off an eleven inning road win over McNeese State on Tuesday, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are returning home for the first time since March 8th and will meet the Nicholls State Colonels in a non-conference game at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field Wednesday night.

Game time is set for 6pm.

The Cajuns (13-8) earned a 6-5 win over the Cowboys last night on Stefan Trosclair's RBI double in the top of the eleventh inning.  Eight shutout innings by the Cajuns' bullpen allowed Louisiana to come back from a 5-1 deficit after three innings.

Tonight they'll face a Nicholls club that has one of the stingiest pitching staffs in the country.  The Colonels (12-10-1, 4-5 Southland) has a team ERA of 2.24.  Tonight's starter, senior Ryan Deemes, will be making his eighth appearance and fourth start of the season.  He holds a 3-0 record with a sparkling 0.63 ERA in 28.2 innings of work.

Offensively, the Colonels are led by Kyle Reese with a .321 average.  The Colonels have been challenged to score runs, having only plated 66 runs in 23 games.

The Cajuns will counter with lefty Connor Toups (1-0) who has allowed one run in three innings of work this season.  The Cajuns are led by junior All-American Blake Trahan (.402-1-13-.505 OBP) and Nick Thurman (.370-1-13).  Louisiana carries a .288 average into the game and averages six runs and ten hits per contest.

The broadcast will be heard on ESPN1420 and espn1420.com with pregame beginning at 5:30.

The game is the first of a four game homestand for the Cajuns, as Arkansas State will come to town for a three game SBC series beginning Friday.
