NFL Says Power Outage Won’t Affect New Orleans’ Chances for Future Super Bowls

Even though a power outage at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome caused a 34 minute delay in the third quarter of the Super Bowl, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says the Cresent City should be in line to host more Super Bowls.

An unspecified abnormality in the Superdome's power system was blamed for the outage, which came early in the third quarter.

Boomer Esiason, who was the color analyst for the radio broadcast suggested there were power problems during the week having to do with rehearsals for Beyonce's halftime show.
