The word is NFL owners will vote on a new collective bargaining agreement before 4:30, Central time, this afternoon.

Players will then have a conference call around 7pm to discuss ratification and how to start the voting process for the 1900 players who have to decide if they want to vote in a recertified union.

The Rams and Bears are scheduled to play in the NFL Hall of Fame game on August 7th.  If that game is going to happen, the agreement almost has to be done by the weekend.  But Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher says he doubts the game will take place.

The Bears were scheduled to open training camp tomorrow.
