New Taco Bell Is Bigger News Than Cal’s New Football Coach
Take a look below, as we see where news of a new Taco Bell on the Cal campus got front page priority in the newspaper, as opposed to the hiring of Justin Wilcox, the new head football coach of the Golden Bears.
That's the way the font page looked on the Daily Californian, the student newspaper on the UC Berkeley campus and the Berkeley, CA.
Now look, I'm a Taco Bell guy! I mean, I wish they still had the Bellburger, the first thing I ever ordered from there back in the late 70's, but I like Taco Bell!
And this apparently isn't just your regular run-of-the-mill Taco Bell. This is like a sports bar Taco Bell, with adult beverages and big screen televisions.
It's party time for the Cal students!
But can you imagine a Taco Bell opening beating out Alabama, Texas, Ohio St., Michigan, or Florida on the hiring of their new head football coach on the front page of their student paper?
The Golden Bears, who I've always kind of liked, went 5-7 last season, and are 22-39 over the last 5 years.
That's pretty much the reason why.
