New Orleans Saints Select Terron Armstead In Third Round
With their only selection on the second day of the 2013 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints selected offensive tackle Terron Armstead, out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, with their third round pick, the 75th overall, on Friday evening.
The 6-foot-5, 306-pound Armstead, a three-time All-SWAC performer, started 12 games at left tackle during his senior year.
Armstead also was an eight-time SWAC track & field champion, specializing in the shot put.
The Saints were looking for help at offensive tackle, after losing last year’s starting left tackle, Jermon Bushrod, who signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bears.
New Orleans will wrap-up their 2013 draft with three picks on Saturday, in rounds 4-6.
