Big things may be coming to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and by big, I mean it in every literal sense of the word. New Orleans Saints team president Dennis Lauscha announced today (10/21) that the team is looking to add a center-hung video board to the Superdome to help their 2018 Super Bowl LII bid.

This video board install would come in the second of two phases of potential upgrades for the New Orleans Arena and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, according to Lauscha's interview with the Black & Blue Report.

We are really pursuing (center-hung video board) for the Superdome. We are working on that right now. We think if we can add a center-hung video board to the Superdome it will really help our Super Bowl LII bid in 2018.

Even though its unclear how big they plan to go with this proposed video board, the fact that it would be center-hung in the Superdome makes me believe it will be similar to the world's largest video board that hangs in the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium.

At least the Saints fans in the "cheap seats" have something BIG to look forward to!
