The good news is, for the first time since 2004, the Sun Belt Conference has four teams in the NCAA baseball tournament.

The bad news?  Well, just look where they're headed.

Florida Atlantic (39-20) won the Sun Belt Tournament yesterday and was named a #2 seed.  But the Owls have to travel to Chapel Hill, where the national #1 seed, North Carolina, is waiting.  Towson will be the Owls first opponent and Canisius is the #4 seed.

As mentioned here, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns are the #2 seed in Baton Rouge, home of the #4 national seed LSU Tigers.  The Cajuns (41-18) take on Sam Houston State.  Jackson State is the #4 seed.

Troy, (41`-18)  the regular season co-champion in the Sun Belt, was relegated to a #3 seed after a 1-2 showing in the SBC tournament.  They're at #7 national seed Florida State where they will face in-state rival Alabama right off the bat.

And, the other regular season co-champion South Alabama (42-18) is headed to Starkville, MS as the #2 seed, and will face a rugged #3 seed in Mercer, the regular season Atlantic Sun champion, in their first game.

If any team advances to a Super Regional, they will have earned it.
