The NCAA Committee on Infractions has accepted the self-imposed sanctions by LSU in the case of a former coach and the recruitment of a former student-athlete.

The Committee also applauded LSU's compliance department, which cooperated fully with the NCAA and even reduced the self-imposed probation period from two years to one.

Although the Committee on Infractions confirmed that LSU's violations were "major" in nature, the NCAA did not impose any further sanctions on LSU.

The NCAA investigation began after LSU self-reported the violations.
