NBA Power Rankings: Pelicans Trying to Keep Their Head Above Water

The NBA released its weekly Power Rankings via ESPN today and the New Orleans Pelicans are doing their best to keep their head above water.

Last week the Pelicans struggled early and finished strong, they went 1-2, as Anthony Davis put together a monstrous game in a win against the Brooklyn Nets last Saturday. In fact, Davis made some history, he joined Bob McAdoo as the only other player to record multiple 40+ point, 15+ rebound, and a 5+ steal games, since steals become an official stat.

This week's a short one as the All-Star break is right around the corner. Therefore, the Pels will only play two games this week:

• Monday at Detroit Pistons
• Wednesday vs. Los Angeles Lakers

With the All-Star break coming up it'll be a nice time for a rest and to rejuvenate this squad who is going to need to come together down the stretch in order to hold onto playoff position.
