The Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals captured wins in National League Division Series play on Monday.

In San Francisco, the Nationals took advantage of a throwing error in the top half of the seventh inning to defeat the Giants, 4-1, and stay alive in the best-of-five game series, now trailing 2-1.

In St. Louis, the Cardinals rode the power of Matt Carpenter are Kolten Wong, and the arm of John Lackey, to a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers, to take a 2-1 series lead.

 

Game four in the Dodgers/Cardinals series is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 3:07 pm (central time), while game four of the Nationals/Giants series is slated to get underway at 7:07 pm (central time).
