The Major League Baseball Draft gets underway today, (6pm CDT, MLB Network) and the first two rounds will be tonight, rounds 3-10 will begin Friday around noon and the remainder of the draft will be on Saturday.

Tonight, LSU right handed pitcher Ryan Eades has a chance to hear his name called, but will probably be the only Louisiana collegian who does.  LSU second baseman JaCoby Jones is an outside possibility as well.

Meanwhile, Baseball America's list of the top 500 prospects features only one member of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns regional team, and that's catcher Michael Strentz, who could hear his name called either late Friday or early Saturday.  Outfielders Dex Kjerstad and Seth Harrison are not listed in BA's list of top 30 prospects in the state of Louisiana.

The Houston Astros have the first pick and they are expected to select either Oklahoma RHP Jonathan Gray or former Stanford pitcher Mark Appel.
