The AP is reporting that the University of Missouri hopes to join the SEC soon. The report also suggests that Mizzou would prefer to join the Big 10, but never received an invite.

Missouri wanted to join the Big 10 last year, but the invite went to the University of Nebraska. The official, who is familiar with the discussions involving conference affiliation, spoke anonymously as the school has not made a public statement about its intentions.
