Mississippi St./Vanderbilt Move Into SEC Title Game

The 7th-seeded Mississippi St. Bulldogs will take on the 5th-seeded Vanderbilt Commodores for the 2012 SEC Baseball Tournament Championship, after both were victorious in their respective game on Saturday, at Regions Park in Hoover, Alabama.

Mississippi St. moved their record to 38-22 with a 4-1 win over the 4th-seed Kentucky Wildcats. The win was the fourth in five games for the Bulldogs, and avenged a 5-1 setback to the Wildcats on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt defeated the 3rd-seeded Florida Gators, 8-6, sending the Commodores into the tile game with an overall record of 33-25. The win moved Vandy to a perfect 4-0 in the tournament.

Mississippi St. will battle Vanderbilt for the SEC title on Sunday at 2:30 pm.
