On Friday night, minor league baseball player Sean Smith did one of the most amazing and inspiring things I have ever seen on the baseball diamond.

In the eighth inning of his independent team's game he hit a home run. But, while rounding first base he slipped and tore his ACL. Instead of asking for help and getting medical attention, Smith did the unthinkable -- he finished his home run trot hop.

Smith could have actually gotten a pinch runner and they could have completed the last three-fourths around the base pads. Obviously, Smith wanted no part of that as he just helped his team, the York Revolution, tie up the playoff game against the Sugarland Skeeters.

His team would go on to win the game 3-2 in 10 innings and take a 2-1 series lead.
