LSU Head Coach Les Miles addressed the media yesterday at the Southeastern Conference annual media days. As usual "The Mad Hatter" did not disappoint when the microphone was turned on and pointed in his direction. Miles addressed what many believe may be the best incoming class of freshmen the Tiger football program has ever seen.

One of those freshmen could be under center directing the Tiger's offense when they take the field August 31 against Wisconsin in the season opener. Currently Miles and the Tiger coaching staff are focusing their efforts on two potential starters in the all important quarterback position: sophomore Anthony Jenkins and freshman Brandon Harris. When asked about a young quarterback being able to handle the pressure of LSU expectations Miles said,

"Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron has made a career of mentoring quarterbacks. He'll do exactly the right thing with those guys. You'll see how well a freshman can execute at quarterback."

Those comments were reported by the Louisiana Radio Network

Did Les just tip his hand as to who might be under center for that first game and the rest of the season? It's not as if Jenkins has a wealth of playing experience over Harris but he has at least been in the system a full season longer.

LSU's football team will report for practice on August 3rd.
