Michael Lotief Previews Ragin’ Cajun Softball’s 2015 Season [Video]

Ragin' Cajun Softball was picked as preseason Sun Belt favorites, and Head Coach Michael Lotief held his first press conference of the year to lay out the landscape for the 2015 season.

With only three seniors on the squad, Coach Lotief expects some growing pains early on in the schedule and hopes a couple upper classmen mature along the way into team leaders. During his press conference, he discusses the injury status of several players, including Jordan Wallace, Christina Hamilton, Victoria Brown, Corin Voinche and a few to remain unnamed.

There will be several new faces asked to step up early on for the Ragin' Cajuns, and Coach Lotief gives a solid preview on a couple players, including freshman pitcher Kaylee Jo Trahan.

The Ragin' Cajuns kick off their season Wednesday, February 4th, against North Carolina State at Lamson Park for the 2015 Louisiana Classic. Eastern Illinois and Central Arkansas will also be participating in the event for the extended weekend.
