Miami Probe Targets 15 Current Student-Athletes
The probe into improprieties at the University of Miami continues, with as many as 15 current student-athletes being investigated.
Although Miami did not release the games of the players involved, convicted Ponzi-schemer Nevil Shapiro identified twelve that he provided improper benefits to.
Virtually all of the football players that Shapiro named would be significant contributors to the Hurricanes….if they take the field.
The University, citing the ongoing investigation, would not say if any of the players have been cleared to play.
The University wants to establish the eligibility of the players involved by the end of the week.
