McGwire Joins Dodgers as Hitting Coach

Don't look now, but Mark McGwire will be wearing Dodger blue.

McGwire informed his employer, the St. Louis Cardinals last week that he would be joining the Dodgers.  McGwire lives in nearly Orange County.

McGwire has been credited with the development of young Cardinals hitters including David Freese, Allen Craig and Matt Carpenter.

He will be the Dodgers fifth hitting coach since 2008, including current manager Don Mattingly.  The Dodgers fired Dave Hansen after the season.
