After rushing for 265 yards, the third most in a single game in Cajuns' history, Louisiana's Elijah McGuire has been named the Sun Belt Conference offensive player of the week.

McGuire had touchdown runs of 74, 13, 43 and 54 yards and now leads the nation in yards per carry (9.4).  McGuire's performance helped the Cajuns to a 55-40 win over Arkansas Statethis past Tuesday night, keeping the Cajuns undefeated in league play (3-0).

Cajuns punter Daniel Cadona is the Special Teams player of the week after nailing five punts inside the Arkansas State 13 yard line.  Cadona, who was the Ray Guy punter of the week earlier this season, averaged 45.0 yards on six kicks.  He ranks second in the league in punting average.

Texas State's David Mayo, who had a career-high 22 tackles in the Bobcats' win over ULM, is the defensive player of the week.
