The Los Angeles Lakers blew a sixteen point halftime lead and dropped game one of their Western Conference semifinal to the Dallas Mavericks, 96-94.

Dirk Nowitski scored 28 points and hit the game winning free throws with 19.5 seconds left to put Dallas in front to stay.

The Lakers had two chances, but a turnover and a missed three pointer by Kobe Bryant sealed the Lakers' fate.

Bryant scored 36 points to lead the Lakers.

The Mavs trailed by nine points entering the fourth quarter.
