Former Illinois linebacker Martez Wilson, who was selected in the third round of this year's NFL Draft, by the New Orleans Saints, has impressed coaches, on every level, throughout his career. Mike Triplett, of the Times-Picayune, has the story, below.

Martez Wilson #2 of the Illinois Fighting Illini walks on the field during the game against the Ohio State Buckeyes at Ohio Stadium November 10, 2007 in Columbus, Ohio.  Illinois defeated Ohio State 28-21.

Ron Zook has been coaching football for more than 30 years, including a stint as the New Orleans Saints' defensive coordinator from 2000 to 2001, and assistant coaching jobs with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs before he became a college head coach at Florida and Illinois.

And in all those years, Zook said he has rarely worked with an athlete as gifted as Illinois linebacker Martez Wilson, whom the Saints landed with a third-round pick in last month's NFL draft.
