This is video of a really scary moment at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Thursday night, as we see Miami Marlins' pitcher Dan Jennings being struck in the head by a line drive off the bat of Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jody Mercer.

In the bottom half of the seventh inning, Mercer lines a shot right back up-the-middle, before the ball ricochets straight off the side of Jennings' his head, and then straight up into the air.

Jennings, obviously disoriented, ripped off his hat in confusion, scrambled around the pitchers’ mound, and struggling to stand, before being carted off the field and taken to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a concussion.

Not to minimize a concussion, but it obviously could have been a lot worse, as the 27-year old left-hander's CT scan came back negative.

Marlins manager Mike Redmond spoke about the incident after the game:

We wish Jennings a very speedy recovery.
