Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban

In the interest of full disclosure: Those of us in the media are not big fans of the cone of silence that Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has imposed upon himself in these playoffs. Cuban is generally accessible, outspoken and, as team owners go, fun — he’s usually good for a solid and heavily fined anti-ref rant or a well-placed zinger (as when he referred to Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson as “Jeanie’s boyfriend,” a reference to Jackson’s relationship with Jeanie Buss, the daughter of Lakers owner Jerry Buss).

In these playoffs, though? Nothing.
