Manny Machado Makes Great Defensive Play

Watch this fantastic play that Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado made in Sunday's game against the New York Yankees.

On a ground ball off the bat of Luiz Cruz, Machado attempted to backhand the ball near the line, bobbled it for a split-second, then showed off his incredible arm, by throwing out Cruz from deep in foul territory, with a terrific off-balance throw.

This is certainly one of the best defensive plays of the year from the 20-year old Machado, who will be representing the Orioles, and the American League, in the 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, at Citi Field, in New York.

Machado, the third-overall pick by Baltimore in the 2010 MLB Draft, is hitting a .312, with six home runs, and 42 RBI's.
