A year ago everything seemed to break the New Orleans Saints' way on their road to the Super Bowl.

This year seemingly little has gone their way, from the bounces to injuries at key positions to the quirks of the schedule gods.

Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers exemplified how the law of averages has caught with the Saints this season.
