The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with free agent La'el Collins, the team said on Thursday.

ESPN.com's Adam Schefter says the deal is fully guaranteed for three years, 1.65 million.

Collins played tackle his final two seasons at LSU but projects as a guard in the NFL.  He agreed to the terms after meeting with Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones Wednesday evening in Dallas.

Collins has been questioned, but is not considered to be a suspect, in the shooting death of his former girlfriend.  A paternity test showed Collins was not the father of her son, who was delivered after she died, but who died days later.

Collins was considered to be a first round pick, but went undrafted once it was announced police wanted to question him.
