LSU sophomore outfielder Antoine Duplantis picked up a couple of major honors on Monday.

A native of Lafayette, and a graduate of Lafayette High School, Duplantis was named the National Player of the Week, as well as the SEC Player of the Week.

A 2016 Freshman All-SEC selection last year, Duplantis, a native of Lafayette, La., had an incredible week last week, going 10-for-23 (.425), including two doubles, one homer, seven runs scored, and 14 runs batted in over 5 games.

Over the weekend, in LSU's SEC series against Georgia, Duplantis went 8-for-13, including a double, a homer, six runs scored, and 10 RBI's.

Duplantis set the LSU single-game record for hits on Friday night, going 6-for-6 with a career-high 7 RBI's.

For the season, Duplantis is hitting a .375, to go along with one homer, 21 runs scored, 28 RBI's, and eight steals.
